Cassi Wickline

PARALEGAL

“It’s my job to help clients calm down and weave back emotions.”

Cassi joined Nichols Zauzig in 2017 with extensive paralegal training, and diverse law firm experience. Her far-reaching skills and knowledge are invaluable to the divorce and family law team.

It is her calming influence during volatile situations that makes an immediate impact with clients, especially when child custody issues are involved. Overwhelmed by emotions, parents sometimes lose sight of doing what’s best for their children.

“It’s my job to help clients calm down and weave back emotions. Then, it’s about getting them to see what’s important.”

Cassi brings significant paralegal training into the mix. She holds a bachelor’s degree in business with a concentration in law, graduating summa cum laude from Strayer University. She also completed the ABA-approved paralegal program at Northern Virginia Community College, graduating with honors. She is an Adjunct Professor of family law for NVCC and has served on the college’s Paralegal Studies Advisory Council since 2014.

Prior to joining Nichols Zauzig, Cassi was with a small general law firm for three years. She provided legal assistance for family, criminal defense and personal injury law.

While she enjoyed the varied types of case work there, Cassi thrives on the learning experiences from attorneys at Nichols Zazuig, whose work is recognized by distinguished organizations such as American Academy of Matrimonial Attorneys (AAML).

“It’s another level of problem solving and critical thinking – I enjoy challenging myself to come up to our attorneys’ high standards.”
