Sandler named Top 50 Virginia Women Attorney

Betty Moore Sandler, IAFL, AAML has been named a Top 50 Virginia Women Attorney by Super Lawyers for 2017.

Ms. Sandler was among 50 women attorneys in Virginia, regardless of practice area, who received the highest point totals during the selection process for Super Lawyer. She is a Principal with Nichols Zauzig Sandler, P.C., practicing in the field of international and domestic family law.

Each year, Super Lawyers recognizes top lawyers in Virginia using a statewide survey of lawyers, an independent evaluation of candidates and peer reviews by practice area. The Virginia women lawyers who receive the highest point totals during this selection process are further recognized as “the best of the best” in the Virginia Top 50 Women Attorney list.

Super Lawyers is a rating service of outstanding lawyers from more than 70 practice areas who have attained a high degree of peer recognition and professional achievement. This selection process includes independent research, peer nominations and peer evaluations.

Ms. Sandler was also named a Super Lawyer in the field of Family Law, and has received that honor annually since 2006.

She is a fellow with both the International Academy of Family Lawyers and the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers. Ms. Sandler was named the “Best Lawyer of the Year” in the Washington D.C. area for the practice of Family Law by Best Lawyers in America in 2015 and holds the highest possible rating, Preeminent, with Martindale/Hubble A/V. Ms. Sandler was recognized in The Wall Street Journal as a Top Rated Legal Leader in Washington D.C. and Baltimore in 2015, and is annually named a Top Family Lawyer by Washingtonian Magazine.

A graduate of the University of Kentucky and University of Kentucky College of Law, Ms. Sandler has limited her practice to family law for more than 30 years.
