Charles J. Zauzig, III recently participated as part of the faculty for the Center for Human Genetics‘ 35th Annual Conference on Obstetrics, Gynecology, Perinatal Medicine, Neonatology and the Law held last month.
Of the 150 faculty and attendees, most were medical doctors and the remainder were medical malpractice attorneys who represent plaintiffs or defendants.
During the six-day conference, Mr. Zauzig, together with defense attorney John Hall, provided Legal Commentary and Discussion following five medical presentations. They also provided Cross Examination for a presentation by two medical expert teams on Clinico-Legal Case “Testimony”and “Counter-Testimony.” Additionally, Mr. Zauzig presented Breaking Down Defense Medical Experts.
For a one-day joint session with the 19th Annual Multispecialty Conference, Medical Negligence & Risk Management, Mr. Zauzig and Mr. Hall led the Medicolegal Forum, which discussed several current multispecialty legal issues.
The conference focused on standards of care, updates and advances in various specialties and the prevention and avoidance of medical error. The entire program can be viewed on the Center for Human Genetics’ 35th Annual Conference webpage.
Mr. Zauzig is President of Nichols Zauzig, and leads the firm’s plaintiff medical malpractice group. He has been listed by Best Lawyers® as a Medical Malpractice Lawyer of the Year – Plaintiff in 2018, 2016 and 2011. He has lectured widely and published a number of articles on medical malpractice. In 2018, Mr. Zauzig was inducted to the American College of Trial Lawyers. Mr. Zauzig has been included in Best Lawyers in America® since 2006, in Super Lawyers® since 2007 and previously served on the Board of Governors of the American Association of Justice.
